Daisy Mae Nicholson Chaney, age 76, of Circle Drive, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 27, 2007, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born August 23, 1931, in Paoli, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Omer and Marie Hosa Nicholson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Alex Jordan McKenzie. Mrs. Chaney is survived by her husband, Robert J. Chaney; one son, Jay (Eve) Chaney of Sparta, New Jersey; four daughters, Terri Lynn Chaney of Chesapeake, Ohio, Nancy McKenzie of Ashland, Kentucky, Jill Ann (Tim) Tobin of Albany, New York, and Janet (Brian) Salyers of Ashland, Kentucky; one sister, Mary Ehle of Anderson, Indiana; one brother, Omer Lee Nicholson of Paoli, Indiana; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Chaney was a former telephone operator in Indianapolis, Indiana. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007, at Brown Cemetery with the Rev.
