D. Jean Howard, age 81, of The Lane, Morehead, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015, at her home. Born October 9, 1933, in Lampasas, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Leila Taylor Wallace. Jean is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ryan A. Howard, a Morehead State University art professor emeritus, and one son, John T. Howard of Lexington. Jean had taught music and Spanish at University Breckinridge, was a beloved private piano teacher whose students adored her, and for a number of years was active in the local humane society.
