Obituary

Crystal McIntosh Johnson, age 89, of Bedford Johnson Road, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010, at her residence. She was born February 12, 1921, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Ned and Nannie Haddix McIntosh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Edna Trent; one grandson; James Quinton Thomas; and one great grandson, Elijah Ray Johnson. Her husband, Bedford Johnson, passed away October 5, 1994. Mrs. Johnson is survived by seven daughters, Maggie Clay, Liz Wilson, Susie Young, Bonnie Barnett, Wanda Dieffenbach, and Sharon Wilson, all of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and Christine Triplett of Bath County, Kentucky; six sons, B. J. Johnson, Earl Johnson, Edd Johnson, Wally Johnson, and Sam Johnson, all of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and Joe Johnson of Bath County, Kentucky; 49 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren; and 22 great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and member of the Shoulderblade Old Regular Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at the Christian Assembly of God with Brother Paul Turner and Brother Tom Burbrink officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson-Chambers Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her sons and Stewart Morton. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010, at the Christian Assembly of God, 1834 Owingsville Road, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Friday, September 24, 2010, 5-9 pm, Christian Assembly of God, Mt. Sterling Funeral: Saturday, September 25, 2 pm, Christian Assembly of God, Mt. Sterling Interment: Johnson-Chambers Cemetery
