Coy Eugene Moore, age 79, of US 60 West, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at his residence. Born March 10, 1931, in Clearfield, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Thelma Jones Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, who raised him, William and Mary Lou Hall Jones. Coy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vinda Frances Thomas Moore, whom he married October 19, 1951; one son, Billy Gene Moore of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Linda Kay Moore Cooper of Farmers, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, John S. Cooper, Mary van Rhyn and husband Are`, James Cooper and wife Michelle, and LaToya Elshishtawi and husband Mahmoud. Coy retired from the City of Morehead, Public Works Department, after 35 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, raising his grandchildren, and attending his grandchildren-s ballgames. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Cornett, Jimmy Cornett, Ora Wagoner, Greg Lewis, Bob Stacey, and David Stacey. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
