Cornealia Francis Fulp Skaggs, age 92, of Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010, in the comfort of her home. She was born May 1, 1918, in Leaksville, North Carolina, and was the daughter of the late William Henry and Argustia Hand Fulp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Volney Skaggs, and a grandson, Brian Skaggs. She is survived by two daughters, Arvetta Kay DeLashmit of Morehead, and Anna Butler of Crescent City, California; two sons, Volney Jr. Skaggs of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Donald Skaggs and wife Valerie of Morehead, Kentucky; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a very special friend, Sally Netherly. -Nealia- was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a very unselfish lady; her life on this earth was taking care of her family-s needs. She loved her flower garden and her beloved pets. She will be greatly missed by all. If there-s a place in heaven she-s already there. Private graveside services will be conducted at the New Alfrey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Claire Hospice, 222 Medical Circle, Morehead, Kentucky, or STAR (Saving the Animals of Rowan), 123 Oakwood Drive, Morehead, Kentucky.
