Obituary

Corda Brown Foster, age 90, of Winchester, Kentucky, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012, at her home. She was born November 17, 1921, in Morehead, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Jeff and Laura Sweeney Brown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denzel W. Foster, who passed away May 8, 1990; a son, Gerald Foster in 1974; two brothers, Hollie Brown and Opal Brown; and two sisters, Verna Gamble and Lenola Gregory. Mrs. Foster is survived by one son, James Foster and wife Rose of Dayton, Ohio; one daughter, Sharon Lewis and husband James of Winchester, Kentucky; two sisters, Bernice Law of New Boston, Ohio, and Sylvia Gregory of Clearfield, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Theresa Maddox and husband Gary of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Steve Foster and wife Kelley of Dayton, Ohio, Kevin Foster and wife Patty of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Todd Foster and wife Amy of San Bernardino, California; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Foster was a homemaker and member of the Charity Free Will Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, enjoyed crocheting, and cooking. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012, at the Charity Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Wednesday, October 17, 2012, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Charity Free Will Baptist Church Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
