Connie Hay Rzonca, age 70, of Heritage Place, Morehead, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016, at her residence. She was born December 23, 1945, in Shelby, Ohio, a daughter of the late Cecil and Myrtle Lacy Hay. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Wilma Carpenter; one brother, Vernon Hay; four sisters, Shirley Rivers, Carol Martin, Kathy Lacy and Aileen Hay. Her husband, Robert R. 'Bob' Rzonca, passed away July 3, 2003. Connie is survived by four children, Bradley Jr. (Amanda) Collins of Huntington, WV, Shawn O'Neil Collins, Kimberly (Audrey) Staton, and Cecil Todd Collins, all of Morehead; a special stepdaughter, Laura (Mark) Blaylock of Gallatin, TN; two grandchildren, Shyanne Nycole Collins (and her mother, Sherry Lovejoy) and Audrey Danielle Staton; a special niece, Beckie Schinsky Pritt; a special cousin, Betty King; extended family members; and friends. While living in Florida, Connie was employed as a phlebotomist and had also worked in assisted living facilities and in Winn Dixie stores. She was of the Christian faith and a homemaker who enjoyed cooking; making porcelain dolls; listening to music, especially Rod Stewart; and spending time with family and friends. She never met a stranger and enjoyed all types of people. She will be greatly missed. A funeral service and inurnment will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Columbarium with Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. There is no visitation.
