Connie Sue Hyatt Burns, age 65, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Morehead, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at her residence.

Born November 9, 1958, in Morehead, Kentucky, Connie is the daughter of Joanne Lawrence Hyatt O'Donnal of Hillsboro, Kentucky, and the late Harley D. Hyatt.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by five children, Michael Hyatt of Clearfield, Kentucky, Rhianna Burns of Morehead, Kentucky, twin daughters, Ashley Burns of Columbus, Ohio, and Amanda Burns of Morehead, Kentucky, and Nelson Burns of Villa Hills, Kentucky; three sisters, Sandra Hatfield of Fort Hills, South Carolina, Vanessa Farnsworth of Bolivar, Missouri, and Tabatha Angel of Bloomfield, New Mexico; a special aunt, Clydia L. Hyatt of Morehead; 25 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in Mansfield, Ohio, in 1976 and Morehead State University in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in education.

Connie loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved playing her guitar, singing, writing songs, reading, and camping at Cave Run Lake. Holidays was a time she enjoyed.  Connie was a very witty and outgoing person, and always had a smile for everyone.  She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

At Connie's request, there will be a private visitation at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals and a public gathering for family and friends from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Dynamite Twisters, 5164 Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, KY 40351.
