Colvin E. Perry, age 86, of Moores Flat Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. Born July 3, 1928, at Blaze, in Morgan County, he was a son of the late Curbitt and Vada Perry. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Liddy Christine Whitt Perry, who passed away December 8, 1999; a daughter, Carolyn Elaine Perry; and an infant sister.. He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Craft of Morehead; a special niece, Rhonda Hanes of Carlisle, Ohio, who Colvin referred to as No. 2 daughter; one brother, Robert Perry of Everett, Washington,and his children, Melissa, Mylie, and Zane Perry; one granddaughter, Tanya Thornsberry; two grandsons, Calvin Dale Craft and Stephanie and Shaun Ryan Craft; one great grandson, Hunter Craft; four step grandchildren, Michael Craft and Stephanie, Kim Thomas, Daniel Craft and Mary, and Anthony Craft and Lori; five step great grandchildren, Cassie Craft, Geoffery Craft, Robert Dale Thomas, Keira Thomas, and Derrick Craft; and extended family and friends. Colvin served his country in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy Reserves. He was a contractor in Ohio for many years, retired as a carpenter from the Morehead State University Physical Plant in 1990, and later worked for Wal-Mart as a greeter. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post 126. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Wednesday, March 11, 2015, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 1 p.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
