Cobern Lee Sargent, age 81, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away August 13, 2021.

Born June 23, 1940, at Blaze, Kentucky, in Morgan County, he was a son of the late McCoy Sargent and Ora Watkins Sargent.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Olen Sargent and Hershel Sergent.

He is survived by one son, Richard Sargent and wife Briana of Charlotte, North Carolina; one daughter, Patricia Charlton and husband Douglas of Springboro, Ohio; three grandchildren, Austen Sargent, Kirsten Charlton, and Darren Charlton; one brother, Glen Sargent of Morehead, Kentucky; and one sister, Francis Mullins of Morgan County, Kentucky; extended family and friends.

Cobern was a former employee of Dayton Forging and Heat Treating Company in Dayton, Ohio.
