Obituary

Clyde Wayne Raines, age 64, of Gibson Road, Goshen, OH, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at his residence. Born November 10, 1944, in Middlesboro, KY, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruby Poore Raines. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Gwen Raines. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Charlotte Alfrey Raines; one brother, Donnie Joe (Diane) Raines, Sr., of Loveland, OH; one sister, Sue Thomas of New Richmond, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clyde served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and retired from the Loveland Post Office. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. in Loveland, OH. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2009, at the Ginter Cemetery in Menifee County with the Rev. David Starcher officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Active pallbearers will be Donnie Joe Raines, Jr., Ed Dean, Harvard Bourque, John Quesinberry, Will Quesinberry, and Tim Robinson. Harvard C. Alfrey will be an honorary pallbearer.
