Clinton Andrew Porter, age 81, of State Hwy. 174, Olive Hill, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, at his residence. Born March 7, 1937, in Carter County, he was the son of the late Harlan and Gladys Harper Porter. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Porter, and one sister, Eunice Fraley. He is survived by his wife of 15 ½ years, Bernice Lemaster Caudill Porter, whom he married November 9 2002; three sons, Douglas Clinton Porter and Gina of Elliott County, Dale Clinton Porter and Eva of Olive Hill, and David Harlan Porter of Soldier; one stepson, Darren Caudill and Renodia of Olive Hill; two daughters, Daragh Wobbe and John of Springfield, Ohio, Dianna Phillips and Barney of Grayson; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; three step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. Other survivors include one brother, Clifford Porter of Elliottville; two sisters, Ailene Conn of Morehead and Helen Thomas of Olive Hill; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Clinton was a construction operator and horse trader. He enjoyed the outdoors, rodeos, raising crops and livestock. Never meeting a stranger, he loved people and socializing with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, May 28, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Brother Austin Carter and Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in Porter Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers: Danny Gilliam, Von Gilliam, Jeff Porter, John Porter, Rick Porter, Larry Porter. Honorary Pallbearers: Olen Lemaster Jr., Wilford Oakley, Rocky Porter, Herman Conn, Tim Oakley. Visitation is 4 p.m. Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with Masonic services to be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday by Soldier Lodge No. 708.
