Clinton Middleton, age 67, of KY 986, Olive Hill, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2016, at his residence. Born November 17, 1948, in Carter County, he was the son of the late Ernest and Charma Holbrook Middleton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Middleton, and one sister, Imogene Kiser. Clinton is survived by his wife, Ellen Ann Mauk Middleton; one son, Clinton Dewayne 'Doodle' Middleton of Olive Hill; five grandchildren, Dakota Dewayne Middleton, Haven LaRae Middleton, Jacob Ryan Leadingham, Christopher Kegan Messer, and Zebadiah Thomas Messer; one brother and sister-in-law, Cleo and Bonnie Middleton of Olive Hill; as well as extended family and friends. A special thank you is given to Becky Middleton Messer for her devoted care and support to the family through the years. Clinton retired from Louisville Fire Brick after more than 30 years of service and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and going to yard sales. He was of the Baptist faith. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, at Providence Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Tom Barker and Brother Monroe Craig officiating. Interment will follow at the Roar Cemetery in Carter County with military honors by Olive Hill American Legion Post 138. Pallbearers: Ronnie Barker, Del Middleton, Dakota Middleton, Cleo Middleton, Danny Kiser and Jacob Leadingham. Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead is assisting the family with arrangements.
