Obituary

Clinton Lunsford, age 64, of Pleasure Lane, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday morning, March 8, 2008, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born March 18, 1943, in Carter County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late John W. and Bertha Snipes Lunsford. He was preceded in death by one brother, Delmar Lunsford in 1992, and one grandson, Tyler Dale Long in 2004. Clinton is survived by his wife, Jackie Shumate Lunsford; two sons, Steve Lunsford of Lexington, Kentucky, and Mark Lunsford of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one stepson, Anthony Long of Morehead, Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Diane Binion of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Dedra Hamm of Morehead, Kentucky; and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by five brothers, James Lunsford and Ott Lunsford, both of Soldier, Kentucky, Thurman Lunsford of Georgetown, Kentucky, Glennis Lunsford of Globe, Kentucky, and Delbert Lunsford of Morehead, Kentucky; and three sisters, Lillian Cundiff of Soldier, Kentucky, and Betty Jones and Glenna Faye Fultz, both of Morehead, Kentucky. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and a self-employed carpenter, plumber and electrician. Clinton was a member of the Rock Fork Gospel Tabernacle. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lansford May and the Rev. Lonnie Conn officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning Chapel Cemetery in Carter County, Kentucky. Full military rites will be conducted at the gravesite by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126, who will also serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Long and Randy Binion. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Monday, March 10, 2008, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at 1 p.m. Interment: Manning Chapel Cemetery
