Clifford Eugene Planck, age 69, of Lexington, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 19, 2019.
Born August 20, 1950, in Morehead, he was the son of the late Ralph Hitchen Planck and Grace Mae Estep Planck.
Clifford is survived by his wife of almost 51 years, Sandra Workman Planck, whom he married October 26, 1968; three children: Valerie (Brian) Lebanion of Corbin, Angela (John) Crutcher of Lexington, and Cliff (Lora) Planck of Lexington; 14 grandchildren: Laura (Chris) Browning, Jacob, Brandon, Chris, Jon, and Nick Lebanion; Jessica (Alex) Mobley, Brittany, James, and Leeanna Crutcher, McKayla McAtee, and Madison Kelley; Olivia and Melanie Planck; 4 great grandchildren: Peregrine, Kestriel, Heron, and Oliver; and his special canine companion, Chewie.
Other survivors include one sister, Barbara Planck Kissinger of Morehead, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Well known in the trucking industry, Clifford was a former employee of Planck-Kissinger Garage, Larry Fannin Chevrolet, Harold White Lumber Co., Kron International, Mountain International and Walmart. While in Morehead, he served the community as a longtime member of the Rowan County DES and as an active member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God. After moving to Lexington, Clifford became an active member of Frankfort First Church of God and later Eastland Church of God in Lexington, where he served weekly at the Heritage Campus. In later years, Clifford enjoyed travelling, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Justin Linseisen officiating.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2019, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
