Cleo Dehart, age 81, of Kegley Ridge, Morehead, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born March 27, 1934, in Rowan County, a son of the late Chester Arthur and Lyda Matthews Dehart. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Kenneth, Vencil, Jimmy, Vercil, Glennis Ray 'Bill' and Cledith E. Dehart; three sisters, Linda Faye Dehart, Amanda Jane Slone and Luwanda Merle Slone; an infant son, Carl Dehart; and one great grandson, Kaden Wade Dehart. Cleo's wife of 63 years, Zella 'Poo' Sloan Dehart, passed away January 15, 2016. Cleo is survived by one son, Lee 'Leo' Dehart and his wife Rhonda of Morehead; three grandchildren, Jack, Jesse, and Tiffany Dehart; and four great grandchildren, Andrew, Hannah, Rayleigh, and Jesco Dehart; one sister, Lois Whitt of Springfield, Ohio; nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends. Cleo was a carpenter for Mabry Construction for 38 years and enjoyed family and friends, gardening, cookouts, whittling, and making sling shots and bird houses. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Trent Cemetery on Rainbow Road. Pallbearers: Bobby Dehart, Robert Puckett, Kevin Dillon, Mickey Sloan, Dean Sloan, David Sloan, Ed Kidd, Dennis Trent, Robert Sloan, Roy Sloan. Honorary pallbearer: Keith Baker.
