Clemence W. Elam Hall, age 97, of Sabina, Ohio, formerly of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Autumn Years Nursing Center in Sabina. Born October 24, 1911, in Wrigley, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Maude A. Hall Elam. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Elam; three sisters, Irene Hamilton, Myrl Fannin, and Lenola Whitt; her first husband, Willie V. Whitt; her second husband, Emmitt J. Hall; one daughter, Colleene Silman; and one great grandchild, Heather Landess. Mrs. Hall is survived by one daughter, Betty Jean Hill of Sabina, Ohio; five grandchildren, Greg (Cheryl) Hill of Dayton, Ohio, Pam McMann, Timothy (Laura) Hunter, Nathan Hunter, and John Silman, all of Flint, Michigan; two great grandchildren, Robin Uhrig and Andrew Blair; one niece, LaVera Sassar; one nephew, Farrell Fannin; and a special cousin, Glois (Wendell) Williams. Mrs. Hall retired from Morehead State University and enjoyed senior citizens- activities, flowers, and crocheting. She was a member of the Morehead First Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Cemetery, Wrigley, Kentucky, with Howard Lee Whitt officiating. Visitation for Clemence Elam Hall is Saturday, February 14, 2009, from noon until 1 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Saturday, February 14, 2009, noon-1 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 1 p.m. Interment: Adkins Cemetery
