Obituary

Cleff "Hoss" Johnson, age 64, of Lee Branch, Morehead, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born April 30, 1953, in Morehead, a son of the late Arthur and Maude Oney Johnson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Johnson, Jr., and Marvin Ray Johnson; and three sisters, Loretta Sellman, Wilma Jean Sammons, and Lois Black. "Hoss" is survived by two brothers, Roger Johnson and Bobby Johnson, both of Morehead; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was a former employee of Lexington Concrete, Pickett Concrete and the Rowan County Road Department. He enjoyed farming and visiting with family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cecil Ison officiating. Burial will follow in Fultz Cemetery on Lee Branch. Pallbearers will be Robert Johnson, Dickie Blair, Mike Thomas, Jackie Thomas, Kevin Johnson, and David Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Paris Nelson and Ethan Johnson. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
