Obituary

Cledith E. Dehart, age 82, of Seas Branch, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Carter County Nursing and Rehab in Grayson, Kentucky. He was born December 23, 1930, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Chester Arthur and Lyda Matthews Dehart. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Kenneth, Vencil, Jimmy, Vercil and Glennis Ray 'Bill' Dehart, and three sisters, Linda Faye Dehart, Amanda Jane Slone and Luwanda Merle Slone. Cledith is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vangelene Sloan Dehart; one son, Billy Joe Dehart and wife Jeanie of Morehead, Kentucky; two daughters, Kathelene 'Kathy' Pelfrey and husband Andy of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Della May Porter and husband Donald of Rowan County, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Joey and Kayla Porter, Brandon and Tiffany Pelfrey, and Shay Dehart; and one great granddaughter, Cheyanne Bond. Other survivors include one brother, Cleo Dehart of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister, Lois Whitt of Springfield, Ohio; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Bro. Dehart was a minister of the Gospel for 60 years and a self- employed carpenter. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Oscar Riley officiating. Burial will follow in the Sloan Cemetery in Carter County. Pallbearers: Greg Meade, Lee Dehart, Hershel Baldridge, Bobby Dehart, Robbie Puckett, Lonnie Conn, Rob Hamilton, and Donald Porter. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Saturday, March 23, 2013, after 5p.m. Funeral: Sunday, March 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. Interment: Sloan Cemetery, Carter County, KY
