Clayton Eugene (Sam) Stegall, age 74, of KY Highway 173, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, at Select Specialty Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born October 18, 1935, at Laurel Creek in Elliott County, Kentucky, son of the late Oscar and Cora Wilson Stegall. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Arizona Slone, Gracie Sloan, Elsie Hall, and Daisy Sloan, and two brothers, Herman Stegall and Curtis Stegall. Clayton is survived by his wife of fifty years, Dina Trent Stegall, and one daughter, Cheryl Stegall of Morehead, Kentucky, and her fianc-, Senator Walter -Doc- Blevins of Morehead, Kentucky; Other survivors include a brother-in-law, Bill Sloan of Michigan; four nieces, Ida Edwards, Lisa (Kevin) Dean, Jann (Jim) Gierman, Kay Robinson, and Charlene (John) Spencer; four nephews, Woody (Vicki) Sloan, Ronald (Yvonne) Sloan, Cameron (Sandy) Fraley, and Mitchell (Vicky) Fraley; and special friends, Floyd Conn, Louie Harris, and Victor Mabry. Mr. Stegall was the owner of Clayton-s Auto Parts for forty years. He was a member of the Brinegar Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Louie Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Wyatt Cemetery in Elliott County, Kentucky. Pallbearers: Tim Edwards, Kevin Dean, Cameron Fraley, Mitchell Fraley, Wes Slone, Junior Wilson, Floyd Conn and Donnie Stevens. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.
