Obituary

Claude Clayton Baldridge, Jr., age 83, of Old Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009, at his residence after an extended illness. Born February 4, 1926, on Crix Ridge in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Claude Clayton Baldridge, Sr., and Augusta Mullins Baldridge. Claude is survived by his faithful companion, Edith Nona Adkins; two sons, Harlan Sheldon Baldridge of Bath County, Kentucky, and Gary Baldridge of Nelsonville, Ohio; three daughters, Michelle Hickman of Spencer, West Virginia, Freda Weatherworth of Georgia, and Augusta Jane Bailey of Crab Orchard, West Virginia; two brothers, Tony Baldridge of Wooster, Ohio, and Marvin Baldridge of Ohio; three sisters, Hazel Baing of Ohio, Jo Ann Cobbler of Bath County, Kentucky, and Rita Cook of Owosso, Michigan; three step sons, Charlie Hale of Morehead, Kentucky, James Hale of Elliottville, Kentucky, and David Hale of Grayson, Kentucky; five step daughters, Louise Sargent, Delores Easterling, Candy Marcum and Mary Mullen, all of Morehead, Kentucky, and Margaret Ruff of Alta Loma, California. Also surviving are a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Claude was a U.S. Army veteran and former oil well supervisor at various oil wells in Texas. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery with full military rites conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be David Hale, Chris Sargent, Joey Earls, Adam Mullen, Jerry Mullen, Mike Ferguson and Randy Wagoner. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Tuesday, July 14, 2009, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 1 p.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
