Clarence Richard Stewart, Sr. age 89, of Ocean Shore Boulevard, Ormond Beach, Florida, a resident of Morehead, Kentucky, for more than 35 years, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, at Bishop's Glen Hospice in Daytona Beach, Florida, following an extended illness. Mr. Stewart was born July 10, 1922, in Lawrence County, Kentucky, a son of Walter R. and Anna Holbrook Stewart. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Trent Stewart, and two brothers, Harold Stewart and Walter Stewart, Jr. Survivors include two sons, Clarence Richard Stewart, Jr. of Winter Haven, Florida, and Christopher Ross Stewart of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; a sister, Mrs. Juanita Stewart Irvin of Grand Rapids, Michigan; 7 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. Mr. Stewart was a decorated U. S. Army veteran of World War II serving in Europe and a retired member of Local Union 248 of the Plumbers Pipefitters. He was also a 32nd degree member of Morehead Masonic Lodge 654 and a member of the Clearfield Tabernacle First Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Max Molihan officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn mausoleum with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers: Michael Trent, Jim Tom Trent, Pope Cudd, Dale Craft, Kevin Trent, and John Holloway. Visitation is from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. by Morehead Masonic Lodge No. 654 at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
