*******

Clarence Norman Lytle of St. George Island, FL (formerly of Morehead, KY), passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 26, 2023, with his wife by his side.

Born February 20, 1971, in Morehead, KY, he is the son of Charlene Lytle of Morehead and the late Nick Lytle.

Norman is survived by his devoted wife Sonya (Soni) Griffith Lytle, who cared for him tirelessly during his battle with pancreatic cancer, and special fur babies CiCi and Tiki.  He is also survived by his siblings: Shawna Dailey of Georgetown, KY, Deleah (Billy) Warren of Morehead, Joel (Shelly) Lytle of Morehead; parents-in-law: Tommy and Neva Griffith of Morehead, KY; sister-in-law: Meleah (Greg) Vaught of Owensboro, KY; and many nieces and nephews.

Norman was a graduate of Rowan County Senior High School and lived a life of accomplishment, compassion, and service. He was a Freemason, Shriner, and former City Councilman for Morehead, KY.

Norman began as a volunteer firefighter for Morehead Fire Department in 1992 and retired as a career firefighter for the City of Georgetown, KY in 2019.  After his retirement, he also volunteered for the St. George Island, FL Fire Department.  He embodied what a firefighter is and served his communities passionately.

Norman was the owner/operator of Lytle's Lawn and Pest Control and he worked alongside his father for many years.  After he retired and moved, Norman and Soni started Sandbar, LLC Maintenance Company on St. George Island.  Norman enjoyed music of all kinds and playing his guitar.  He loved St. George Island, boating, and fishing in the Apalachicola Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

Norman was always willing to help anyone and would always stay humble.  Anyone who knew Norman would say the best word to describe him is "Selfless." He had a heart of gold and an infectious personality that would bring out the best in people.  Norman has a permanent place in the hearts of those that knew him, and he will be greatly missed.

Norman's friends and family that couldn't be there want to express profound gratitude to his Island family for their love and care of Norm during his illness.
