Obituary

Clarence -Hobert- Brown, age 69, of Mt. Hope Road, Morehead, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2009, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. He was born March 16, 1939, in Rowan County, Kentucky, the son of Bill and Liddie Ramey Brown. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Brown and James Brown. Hobert is survived by four sisters: Hazel (Delbert) Ramey of Amherst, Ohio; Wanda (Ira) Hudnall of Crestline, Ohio; Susan (John) Chullen of Benton, Illinois; and Anna Day of Racine, Wisconsin; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law: Sue Brown of Ashland, Kentucky, and Etta Brown of Morehead, Kentucky. Hobert was an avid Bluegrass music fan and loved his Martin guitar. He liked to take out his guitar and play a tune for you when he had a chance. He attended Charity Baptist Church on Lick Fork. He loved going to church and witnessing to others about the Lord. Hobert worked for Kasper Foundry in Elyria, Ohio, for several years, then moved back to Morehead, where he was born and raised. He also worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Rowan County, where he could work in the great outdoors that he loved so much. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Kidd and the Rev. Willis Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Saturday, January 24, 2009, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, January 25, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. Interment: ew Alfrey Cemetery
