Christine McBrayer Trent Kiser, age 88, of Trent Ridge, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. Born November 11, 1930, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Viola Pettit McBrayer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Louise Meyer, Pearl Green, and Lilly Catron; a son-in-law, Larry Gray; and two daughters, Virginia Trent and Norma Trent. Her first husband, Beauford Trent, passed away in 1985; her second husband, Earl Kiser, in 2010. Christine is survived by two children, Diana Trent Gray and Kennith Trent and his wife Jennifer, all of Morehead; five grandchildren, Jessica Gray of Morehead, Brittany Lauren Woods (Nick) of Boone, North Carolina, Joseph Gray of Ashland, Logan Trent (Lindsey) of Lexington, and Kenna Trent of Los Angeles, California; one brother, Donald McBrayer (Vickie) of Morehead; and one sister, Ruth Anderson of Anderson, Indiana. Christine was a homemaker, former owner of Trent's Grocery, and a beautician. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Morehead. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in Trent-Black Cemetery on Trent Ridge. Pallbearers: Joseph Gray, Logan Trent, Nick Woods, Brittany Lauren Woods, Jessica Gray, and Kenna Trent.
