Christine Davis Black Combs, age 81, of Clearfield Street, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born June 7, 1925, in Rowan County, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late Felix and Nannie Charles Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, George D. Black and Ova Combs. She is survived by one son, George D. Black of Morehead, Kentucky; two brothers, Bob Davis and Chalmer Davis, both of Morehead, Kentucky; three sisters, Faye Pelfrey and Ethel Caskey of Morehead, Kentucky, and Elsie Lewis of Virginia; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Combs was a former employee of A & P Grocery Company in Hamilton, Ohio, and was a member of Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Deacon Bill Buelterman officiating. Burial will be in New Alfrey Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.
