Chester Ray Hamilton, age 73, of Hamilton Road, Morehead, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015, at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, from injuries sustained in a truck accident on September 15, 2015, in Louisa, Kentucky. He was born August 4, 1942, in Fleming County, a son of Arlie Lee Hamilton and Nina Dyer Hamilton. Chester was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mattie Lou Hamilton; and one brother, Harold Hamilton. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Monnie 'Sue' Dillon Hamilton; three children, Sharon Hignite and husband Greg, Debbie Lester, Eric Hamilton and wife Lori, all of Morehead; nine grandchildren, Kerri Donahue and husband Robert, Christopher Hignite and wife Ashley, Kevin Hignite, Miranda Lester, Allison Lester, Kylan Hignite, Kelli Hignite, Parker Hamilton, and Nicholas Hamilton; and two great grandchildren, Natalie Donahue and Zeek Donahue, all of Morehead. He is also survived by one brother, John Hamilton and wife Kathy of Morehead; one sister, Maxine Stacy and husband Charles of Flemingsburg; and extended family and friends. Chester was co-owner of Quality Concrete Products at Gates, Kentucky, and enjoyed working, reading Western novels, and attending church. He was a member of the Three Pine Free Will Baptist Church in Olive Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery. Pallbearers: Dewayne May, Donnie Oney, Linn Brown, Jeff Jones, Tony Sparks, Ray Blevins, Jeff Kiser, Dale Davis, Casey Smith, Daniel Smith Visitation is after 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
