Charlotte Riddle Rice, age 77, of Rugby Road, Lexington, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.

Born August 19, 1944, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Geraldine Campbell Riddle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one stepson, Wallace Ray Rice, and one step granddaughter, Tonya Rice.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace Lee Rice; one son, Michael Shane Rice and wife Shawna of Lexington; one stepson, Tony Rice of Lexington, four step granddaughters, Monica Rice, Sonja Rice, Christina Bowman, and Taylor Bowman; and one step grandson, James Bowman.

Other survivors include two brothers, Linville Riddle and wife Helen of Morehead and Roger Riddle of Goshen, Ohio; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Charlotte was a retired sales specialist at Dillard's in Lexington and was of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed working in her yard and around the house, playing with her pets, solving puzzles, and eating Fudgsicles. She loved her family and sharing all activities and holidays with them.  She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Willie Sturgill officiating.  Burial will follow in Riddle Cemetery on Cranston Road.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
