Charlotte Leah Drennan Downing, age 85, of US 60 West, Olive Hill, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at her home,

Born November 7, 1937, at Eddyville, Kentucky, in Lyon County, she was the daughter of the late James Clay Drennan and Noel Ladd Drennan.

On September 11, 1955, she was united in marriage to Roland Thomas Downing, who preceded her in death on July 22, 1979.

Mrs. Downing is survived by her loving family: two daughters, Becky Maggard and husband Robbie and Bonnie Clark and husband Corky, all of Olive Hill; two grandchildren, Brett Thomas Maggard and Dalton Edward Clark; four great grandchildren, Austin Maggard, Sawyer Maggard, Hadlei Maggard, and Leighton Maggard.

Charlotte was a homemaker and former employee of the Carter County Library.  She enjoyed horseback riding when she was young and raising horses.  Most of all, she cherished her family and spending time with them.  She will be greatly missed and remembered with love.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Markus Giese  officiating.  Burial will follow at the Downing-Kiser Cemetery in Carter County.

Pallbearers:  Ricky Bear, Robbie Maggard, Brett Maggard, Dalton Clark, Austin Maggard, and Sawyer Maggard.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
