Charles Roger Smedley, age 72, formerly of Clearfield, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Autumn Ridge Nursing Home in Wabash, Indiana. Born August 9, 1942, in Osborn, Ohio, he was one of eight children born to Samuel O. and Eva L. Dehart Smedley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by three children, Jenny & (Tim) Henderer of Lagro, IN, Bill & (Doreen) Smedley of Richvalley, IN; Teresa & (Kevin) Berner of Sabina, OH; seven grandchildren, Michael Henderer of Wabash, IN, Christy Miracle of Lagro, IN, Julie Schnepp of Urbana, IN, Jessie Fannin of Wabash, IN, Brittany & (Justin) Hicks of Wabash, IN, Lisa & (Chad) Cannon of Leesburg, OH, Johnathan Berner of Sabina, OH; and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Smedley had been a self-employed fence builder and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith. Graveside services and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at the Crix Cemetery with Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Visitation is at noon on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
