Charles "Charlie" Robert Prather, age 64, of Poplar Lane, Morehead, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born January 20, 1959, in Morehead, he was the son of the late Grover and Lodusta Keeton Prather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack Stevens, Wes Prather, and James Prather; and two sisters, Wanda J. Hunter and Mary Johnson.

Charlie is survived by his children, Christy Forrest of Paris, Nicholas Prather, Ashley Prather, Elizabeth Collins, and Rebecca Collins, all of Carter County; and a host of grandchildren.

Other survivors include two brothers, Douglas J. Prather and wife Debbie and Perry Prather and wife Joy, all of Morehead; nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Charlie was a former employee of Fischer's Meat Company in Ohio and a former City of Morehead employee. He enjoyed watching wrestling on television and playing basketball.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Luther Thomack officiating.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351
