Obituary

Charles Russell Littleton, age 79, a 29-year resident of the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Mr. Littleton was born August 12, 1927, in Mason County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Earl and Flora Cordray Littleton. Following the death of his mother when he was two years old, Mr. Littleton was raised by his grandmother, Lue Ritchie Cordray; an aunt, Lizzie Cordray; and an uncle, Ray Cordray, all of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by many cousins, as well as a stepmother, Belle Littleton, and half brother, Donald Littleton, of Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Littleton was a member of the Orangeburg Methodist Church for many years, but embraced all church denominations that came to the Life Care Center, often serving as song leader and lay preacher when needed. He was made a Life Care Center Chaplain last year. Mr. Littleton proudly served as President of the Resident Council at Life Care Center for many years. He was active in volunteering his time to help others living at the Center. Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2007, with a funeral immediately following at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lansford May and the Rev. Lloyd Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Fleming County. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice or the charity of choice. Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: Saturday, July 21, 2007, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, July 21, 2007, at 3 p.m. Interment: Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Fleming County, KY
