Obituary

Charles Thomas Jent, age 84, of Lower Licking Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. He was born August 13, 1928, in Morehead, Kentucky, a son of the late Robert Lee and Mary Ann Hardin Jent. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Buster Hardin, Ted Jent, and Ervin Jent. Anna Lea Kelly Jent, his wife of 56 years, passed away November 10, 2009. Charlie is survived by one daughter, Diana Fry of Fulton, Indiana; one brother, Riley Jent of Midland, Kentucky; two sisters, Rosie Netherly of Midland, Kentucky, and Linda Kelly of Polksville, Kentucky; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and a special great niece, Jamie Lea Catron. Mr. Jent was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, an employee of Greer Lumber Company for eight years, and a machine operator for Hobart's in Mt. Sterling for 18 years. He loved NASCAR, hunting, and fishing. Charlie was a member of the Johnson First Church of God in Fleming County, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Rev. Vernon Gross officiating. Burial will follow in Slaty Point Cemetery with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be David Jent, Bruce Davis, Barry Jent, Ryan Logan, Doug Wallace, Dan Kelly, and Jeff Lykes. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky. Visitation: Saturday, September 22, 2012, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Sunday, September 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. Interment: Slaty Point Cemetery
