Charles G. "Greg" Wooten, age 57, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, following a short illness. Born December 11, 1961, in Mount Sterling, Greg is the son of Charles G. Wooten of Morehead and the late Peggy Jean Ross Wooten. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Sandy G. Chambers Wooten; one brother, Kenny Wooten and wife Melanie of Anderson, Indiana; nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kevin Vail. Greg retired from Arizona State University after 22 years as a supervisor and enjoyed collecting coins and knives. He was a Christian and attended a nondenominational church in Phoenix. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Ashley Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
