Obituary

Charles Grover -G.C.- Cline, age 73, of Heritage Place, formerly of Center Street, Morehead, KY, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. Charlie was born October 31, 1936, at Brinegar, KY, the son of John Allen Cline and Bessie Parish Cline, both of Sinking Creek in Elliott County, KY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters; four brothers; maternal grandparents, Bill and Samantha Burton Parish; and paternal grandparents, Charles Levi and Elizabeth Brown Cline. Charlie is survived by daughter, Sandy Cline Hall and son-in-law Robert of Morehead, KY; son, Charles G. Cline, Jr. (Stoney) and daughter-in-law Karen of Rineyville, KY; three granddaughters, Sarah Hall Vivian and husband Jason of Chicago, IL; RhiAnna Hall Cristello and husband Justin of Walton, KY; and Kaitlyn Cline of Rineyville, KY; one grandson, Joshua Cline of Lexington, KY; and great grandsons, Charles W. -Evan- Cline of Rineyville, KY, Logan Charles Vivian of Chicago, IL, and soon to arrive Jaxsen Cristello of Walton, KY. In addition to his immediate family, G. C. is survived by two sisters-in-law, Joyce Evans Fitch of Fitch, KY, and Barbara Fitch Cline of Mansfield, OH; one brother-in-law and his wife, Jerry and Linda Evans of Mansfield, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Charlie was an active member of the Brinegar Church of God. He was a veteran who served in the United States Air Force, retired from A.O. Smith in Mt. Sterling, KY, and was a volunteer at St. Claire Regional Medical Center for RSVP, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Charlie was nominated and named -Caregiver of the Year- by St. Claire-s Hospice and Pallative Care members in recognition of the 14 years of caring for his wife, -Junie-. He was a member of Morehead American Legion Post 126 and the 40 & 8 organization. He served several terms as President of the Local 2246 IBEW Union for A.O. Smith. Charlie truly enjoyed his position as a greeter at the Wal-Mart of Morehead, as this enabled him to do what he found great pleasure and enjoyment in and that was -visiting with people.- Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Louie Harris, Reverend Elijah Waggoner, and the Reverend Victor Mabry of the Brinegar Church of God officiating. Music will be provided by the Brinegar Church Singers. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery with full military rites by the Morehead American Legion Post 126. Pallbearers will be the family, Charles -Stoney- Cline, Joshua Cline, Justin Cristello, Roger Fitch, Robert Hall, and Jason Vivian. Visitation will be Sunday, August 22, 2010, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brinegar Church of God, c/o Donnie Tackett, 244 Mitchell Rd., Olive Hill, KY 41164 or the Charity of the Donor-s Choice. Visitation: Sunday, August 23, 2010, 6-9 p.m. Funeral: Monday, August 24, 2010, at 11 a.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
