Obituary

Charles Edwin "Fast Eddie" Johnson, age 59, of River Rouge, Michigan, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017, at the home of his daughter in Land O' Lakes, Florida. Born April 1, 1958, in Wyandotte, Michigan, he was a son of Charles Curtis Johnson and Wanda Louise Gumm Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger. He is survived by one son, Charlie Johnson of Wyandotte, Michigan; two daughters, Sonia Johnson James of Land O' Lakes, Florida and Heather Johnson of River Rouge, Michigan; and six grandchildren, Halie, Charles, Gabriel, Sebastian, Anastasia, and Alexandria. Also surviving are two brothers, Ernie (Deloris) Johnson and Billy (Michelle) Johnson of River Rouge, Michigan; one sister, Janet (Vic) Visocchi of Brownstown, Michigan; nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, a former steel mill worker at Great Lakes Steel, and a former Chrysler Corporation employee. He was currently employed at Bi-Rite Supermarket in River Rouge. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Antioch Christian Church with Brother Tommy Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson-Chambers Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Antioch Christian Church, 3800 Bedford Rd., Mt. Sterling. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
