Obituary

Charles Keith Chamley, 62, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead after battling cancer for nearly ten years. He was born August 28, 1949, in Stanley, North Dakota, a son of the late Walter Lee Chamley and Enid Jacobson Chamley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Pete Chamley. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Marlene Wilson Chamley; one brother, James (Gail) Chamley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one sister, Joanne (Larry) Reep of Stanley, North Dakota; one half-brother, Will (Monica) Chamley of Williston, North Dakota; and several nieces and nephews. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Company 67-562 and a former carpenter. Charles, a much loved husband, uncle, son, brother, and friend, was blessed with a wide circle of family and friends. As a young man, he loved being a cowboy and riding in rodeos. Later in life, he enjoyed playing poker with his online friends and was a huge U.K. Wildcats basketball fan. As he persevered through his challenges, Charles maintained his kind, gentle and loving approach to life. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Pallbearers will be Christopher Wilson, Clifford Wilson, Ray Wilson, Jr., J. R. Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Ricky Wilson, and Kenneth Wilson. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Thursday, March 1, 2012, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Friday, March 2, 2012, at 1 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
