Charles W. Bonta, III, age 78, of Foxwood Road, Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, at his residence. He was born July 12, 1935, in Mercer County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Charles Bonta, II, and Pat Patterson Bonta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Magnus of Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Bonta is survived by one son, Charles 'Chuck' Bonta, IV of Lexington, Kentucky; one daughter, Kyra Moore of Mountain View, California; two grandchildren, Shelbie Bonta and Sam Bonta, both of Lexington, Kentucky; mother of his children, Hazel Lowe Bonta of Belfry, Kentucky; and two half-sisters, Marlene Ericson of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Debbie Shearer of Danville, Kentucky. Mr. Bonta was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired social worker and human resources manager in Frankfort, Kentucky. At Mr. Bonta's request, a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead, Kentucky.
