Charles Wilford Bailey, age 87, of U.S. 60 East, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. Born August 16, 1925, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Bill and Bess Eden Bailey. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by one brother, Ervin Turner. His wife of 52 years, Mildred Evelyn Thomas Bailey, whom he wed July 20, 1957, passed away April 22, 2010. Mr. Bailey is survived by one daughter, Debbie Patrick and husband Jerry; one grandson, Todd Patrick; and one sister, Margie Madden and husband Mickey, all of Morehead, Kentucky. Other survivors include seven nieces, one nephew, other relatives, and many friends that he loved dearly, especially those at Fraley's Tack Shop. Charles was a retired farmer and an avid horse and knife trader. He also enjoyed trading farm equipment. He was baptized at the Big Woods Community Church. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jess Brewer and Rayburn Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in New Sill Cemetery. Pallbearers: William Utterback, Rick Thomas, Phillip Cromer, Donnie Oney, Harry Sparks, Donnie Stevens, and Larry Turner.
