Obituary

Celia L. Hay, age 71, of Somerset, formerly of Morehead, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Hospice of Lake Cumberland in Somerset. Born July 9, 1943, in Morgan County, she was a daughter of the late John and Audrey Brown Hay. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings, James Stanley Hay, Kendrick Hay, Louise Hay, Charlotte Hay, Rose Johnson, Verna Carey, Angelean Sexton, and Jeffery T. Hayes. Celia is survived by one son, Jonathan Scott Sloan of Somerset; one brother, Quentin Hay and wife Marie of Salinas, California; nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends. Celia was a former employee of the Rowan County Health Department and retired from the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Ray Glover and Brother Jerry Maschino officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Quentin Hay, Jimmy Carey, Josh Trent, Terry McKenzie, Justin McKenzie, and Jerry Maschino. Visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead. Visitation: Monday, September 22, 2014, after 6 p.m. Funeral: Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at 1 p.m. Interment: Brown Cemetery
