Obituary

Cecil Ray Mynhier, age 87, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at his residence.Born July 7, 1924, in Christian, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Austin and Sally Whitt Mynhier. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Mynhier and Roy Mynhier, and two sisters, Lillian Rose Mynhier Warren and Geneva McGuire.Cecil is survived by his wife, Ima Jean Caskey Mynhier; two stepsons, Michael and Marilyn Howard of Lexington, Kentucky, and Jeff and Kathy Howard of Winchester, Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Debra Howard and Barbara Howard, both of Morehead, Kentucky; and three step grandchildren, Kim Howard, Sean Howard, and Nicole Smith.Other survivors include two sisters, Marcella Lambert of Clearfield, Kentucky, and Dorothy Eursely of Mansfield, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.Cecil served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He retired as an inspector from Stearns and Foster Mattress Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, after 40 years of service and enjoyed gardening and fishing. He attended the Siloam Church of God.Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Jerry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Poston Cemetery with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.Pallbearers will be Bill Warren, Jeff Howard, Mike Howard, Billy Warren, Mark Flannery, and Darrell Long.Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. Visitation: Friday, November 11, 2011, after 5 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 1 p.m. Interment: Poston Cemetery
