Catherine Hamilton Alley, 95, of Sardinia, Ohio, formerly of Morehead, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014, at The Laurels of Hillsboro in Hillsboro, Ohio. Born June 12, 1918, in Wisconsin, she is a daughter of the late Alexander and Gertrude Swim Hamilton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Clayton Alley; a daughter, Betty Lou Alley Stewart; a grandson, Byron Wayne Stewart; three brothers; and three sisters. Mrs. Alley is survived by a sister, Lucille Calvert of Lexington, three grandchildren, William (Jerri) Stewart of Winchester, Ohio, Sandy Stewart of Sardinia, Ohio, and Brian (Kara) Stewart of Sardinia, Ohio; and four great grandchildren, Emili Kern, Angel Stewart, Rebecca Stewart, and Jacob Stewart. Mrs. Stewart was a homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ben Furman officiating. Burial will follow in Carey Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY.
