Carol Elizabeth Evans Perkins, age 79, of Perkins Ridge, Clearfield, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at her residence after an extended illness.

Born January 16, 1940, in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Claire Billotte Evans.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Perkins on July 7, 1985; a brother, Edmund Evans; a niece, Cindy Easterday; a nephew, Scott Evans; and a sister-in-law, Kay Evans.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years James Perkins, whom she married November 14, 1959; two sons, Jeff (Lora) Perkins and Ronnie (Melanie) Perkins, all of Clearfield; five grandchildren, Jason (Kara) Perkins, Josh (Mendy) Perkins, Jeremy (Krista) Perkins, Abigail (Jordan) Bradley, and Gabe Perkins, all of Clearfield; and six great grandchildren.

Other survivors include two brothers, Donald (Mary Lou) Evans of Galion, Ohio, and Gerald Evans of Lucas, Ohio; one sister, Mary Evans of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol retired as coordinator from the Rowan County Health Department in 1998 and was a former employee at Cave Run Clinic and Morehead State University. She was an avid Santa Clause figurine collector, enjoyed reading, and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery on Jones Ridge.

Pallbearers:  Jeff Perkins, Ronnie Perkins, Jason Perkins, Josh Perkins, Jeremy Perkins, and Tyler Perkins.  Honorary pallbearers:  Gabe Perkins, Jordan Bradley, Abby Bradley, Jacob Perkins, and Katie Perkins.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
