Carl Raymond Kissick, age 82, of Yorktown, Indiana, formerly of Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Waters of Yorktown in Yorktown, Indiana. Born November 21, 1928, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Henry Newton and Nannie Ezetta Spence Kissick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lou-Vena Spurlock and Emma Pearl Kissick DeBord Burke, and one daughter, Teresa Ann Epperhart. Mr. Kissick is survived by three sons, Mickey Ray (Vickie) Kissick of Albany, Indiana, Carl Clinton (Jama) Kissick of Yorktown, Indiana, and Jerry Lee Kissick of Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Pease of Tucson, Arizona, and Loretta Faye (James) Giesman of Ligonier, Indiana and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Other survivors include three brothers, John Wesley Kissick and Homer Newton Kissick , both of Colfax, Kentucky, and Ronald Eugene Kissick of Muncie, Indiana; one sister, Zona Mae Shelley of Hillsboro, Kentucky; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Kissick retired from General Cable Corporation in Muncie, Indiana, and spent several years traveling. He later made Grange City, Kentucky, his home for the past 14 years. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the Hutton Funeral Home with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herman Shelley, Nicholas Shelley, Gale Burke, Bryan Burke, Richard Engle, Virgil Spurlock, Austin Kissick, Jason Kissick, Joey Giesman, and Gary Spurlock.
