Carl E. Carter, age 72, of Haldeman Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. Born January 28, 1940, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Ina Carter. Carl is survived by four sons, Carl Richard Carter of Morehead, Kentucky, Calvin Carter of Fleming County, Kentucky, Chris Carter and Eddie Dale Carter, both of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Rebecca Gregory of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was self-employed as a carpenter, mechanic, and car painter most of his life. He also loved yard sales, flea markets, and animals. He always enjoyed taking care of his dogs, especially -Red, - his favorite. Carl will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Larry Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Henderson, Steve Henderson, Larry Messer, Dana Fultz, Timmy Puckett, and Joe Hamm.
