Calvin Lee Donaldson, 72, of Crest Avenue, Flemingsburg, was born July 13, 1940, in Nicholas County and passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in the Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg. Calvin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lida Lou Arnold Donaldson; daughter Nancy Sanders and husband Alan; granddaughter Amanda Sanders; and grandson Austin Sanders, all of Flemingsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clell and Faye Kelly Donaldson; daughter Noreen Donaldson, and foster brother Rick Hunt. Calvin retired from Randall Textron/Elco Textron after 38 years in management. He also drove for a short period of time for Mason Dixon Tank Lines. Currently, he was a substitute bus driver for the Fleming County school system. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Flemingsburg. He was a member of Fleming Masonic Lodge #112 and served as Master in 1979, District Deputy in 1999, and Secretary for 29 years. He was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason in Valley of Covington, KCCH and 33 degree Mason. He was also a member of Oleika Shrine and A. P. Gooding #172 Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Lynn Beach and the Rev. James Paul Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Larry Donaldson, Randy Heflin, Marion Jones, Woodie Reeves, Noah Logan, and Jim Mineer. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Romans, Bob Marshall, Jimmy Jones, Tim Hornsby, John Catron, and Ron Litton. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
