Obituary

Buster Pecco, age 87 , of Big Brushy Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007, at his home. He was born July 19, 1919, in Pike County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Tom Pecco, Sr. and Mariah Trout Pecco. His wife, Mary Jane Ball Pecco, whom he married June 19, 1938, passed away August 2, 1994. He was also preceded in death by one brother, William (Sam) Pecco in 1976; one sister, Lois Stratton in 2006, and one son-in-law, Jerry R. Justice in 1997. He is survived by his six children, Ilene Tackett and husband Forest, Tony Pecco and wife Lula, Nick Pecco and wife Anna, Elizabeth Pecco Justice and Tom Pecco, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and Mary Ann Debord and husband William of Shelbyville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Angela Kay Tackett, Samuel Nathan Pecco and wife Autumn, Kyle Nicholas Pecco and wife Jennifer, and Mary Elizabeth Pecco, all of Morehead, Kentucky; and one great-granddaughter, Gianna Elizabeth Pecco of Morehead. Also surviving are one brother, Tom Pecco, Jr., of Belfrey, Kentucky; five sisters, Marie Pecco Ball and Pauline Pecco Hackney of Belfrey, Kentucky, Irene Pecco Salyers of Hampton, Virginia, Jenny Pecco Nelson of Abingdon, Virginia, and Anna Pecco DiBuono of Virginia Beech, Virginia, and several nieces and nephews. Before moving to Morehead in 1970, Buster and Mary Jane owned a grocery and meat store for many years in Pikeville, Kentucky. They continued the grocery store business in Rowan County for a number of years, although Buster-s main interest was always farming. Buster was a member of the Sharondale Church of Christ in Belfry, Kentucky, and in later years before becoming ill, attended the Ringos Mills Christian Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Bob Werntz officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation is after 3 p.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. Sunday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to St. Claire Hospice. Visitation: Saturday, May 12, 2007, at 3 p.m.; Sunday, May 13, 2007, after 11 a.m. Funeral: Monday, May 14, 2007, at 1 p.m. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens
