Obituary

Buford Estill Sorrell, age 70, of Airport Road, Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester.

Born July 4, 1951, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Burford L. Sorrell and Lorena Thompson Sorrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Sorrell.

Estill is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Jones Sorrell; one son, Charles "Chuck" (Tracy) Sorrell; one daughter, Crystal (Byron) Amburgey; and two grandchildren, Lacey Sorrell and Kaitlyn Sorrell, all of Mt. Sterling.

Estill was a U.S. Army veteran and retired electrician and farmer.  He enjoyed tinkering with his 1970 GTO, reading, and being with family, especially his granddaughters.  Estill also loved his dogs.

He was a member of Camargo Church of God.

A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October14, 2021, at Camargo Church of God with Aaron Conn officiating.  Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery with full military honors by Mt. Sterling American Legion Post 22.

Pallbearers:  Paul Teague, Byron Craycraft, Sean McStay, David Shepherd, Gary Hamilton, Larry Ingram.  Honorary pallbearers:  Kenny Toy, Tyler Hughes, Stacy Smith, Larry Jones, Mark Thompson, Billy Blevins, Kenny Amburgey.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Camargo Church of God, 4322 Camargo Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
