Bryce Kolton Wade Combs, age 9, of Morehead, beloved son of Vontella Combs, went to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, September 16, 2018, following a week-long search after he accidently fell into flood waters. Bryce was born October 22, 2008, in Whitesburg and moved to Morehead with his mother in 2011. He was a 4th Grade student at Clearfield Elementary and also enjoyed many friends from his time at McBrayer Elementary. Bryce enjoyed playing baseball; he loved learning about dinosaurs; and he was an avid collector of Hot Wheels Cars. Bryce will be remembered for many things, including his infectious smile and laughter. In addition to his parents, Bryce is survived by special friends, Betty Whitaker and Todd Caudill, and a host of close family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Leslie Lois Combs. Special gratitude is extended to Stacey Whitt, Martina Wagoner, Tammy Reynolds, and the countless selfless volunteers who brought Bryce home. A celebration of Bryce's life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. Charles Ed Smith and Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery.
