Bruce James Kilgore, age 61, of Lois Lane, Morehead, passed away Monday, January 13, 2020, at St Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born August 25, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Bill and Margie Kilgore Bush.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jeremiah James Kilgore.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Simpson Kilgore; one daughter, Jessica Sloan and husband Justin of Morehead; two grandchildren, Madison Sloan and Logan Jones; one brother, Ray Bush of Punta Gorda, Florida; two sisters, Debbie Kilgore Bresher of Dayton, Ohio, and Jewell Kilgore of Howard, Ohio; extended family and friends.

Bruce resided most of his life in the Dayton, Ohio, area where was an employee of Hohman Plating and Manufacturing, Inc. for 18 years and later managed a gas station for several years.  Bruce and Joyce moved to Morehead in 2018 to be near family.  In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball and was a lifelong fan of football, basketball, and softball.  He gave his heart to the Lord and enjoyed going church, singing in church, and participating in church activities.  Bruce will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
